ISPAB-NIX Pop established at Khulna
Regional 'pop' of ISPAB-NIX has been established in the industrial city of Khulna after the capital city Dhaka to deliver uninterrupted and secure internet services of double speed across the country. Organized by Bangladesh Internet Service Providers Internet Exchange Trust, Additional Secretary Abdur Rahim Khan, coordinator of BPC under the Ministry of Commerce, inaugurated the smart telecom service at the banquet hall of Khulna Press Club on Saturday afternoon.
While speaking as the chief guest, Abdur Rahim Khan said, I think ISPAB-NIX across the country will protect us from the dangers of the Internet. This network will play an important role in establishing Smart Bangladesh in natural and man-made disasters. Besides, we will expand our lab establishment to develop skilled engineers. In this case BPC will be with ISPAB as always.
The ISPAB President Md. Imdadul Haque presided over the event while the BTRC Director General of Legal and Licensing Department Ashish Kumar Kundu, ISPAB Secretary General Nazmul Karim Bhuyan and Khulna Press Club President SM Nazrul Islam were present as special guests.
Convener of ISPAB, Khulna Division Md. Zubair Islam delivered his welcome speech on the occasion.
While speaking as the President, the ISPAB President said that 80 Gbps traffic has already been received due to the establishment of four POPs in the capital at Mahakhali, Motijheel, Dhanmondi and Mirpur which will expand over the divisional cities by next year.
He said, we are going through data based civilization. Therefore, it will not be possible to build a data civilization if we cannot build a data highway. To that end ISPAB-NIX is building a strong and sustainable highway within the country. By relying on its breadth, smoothness and accessibility, I believe that high-speed secure internet networks will spread even at the grassroots level. It will act as the backbone of Smart Bangladesh.
